The setting is so calm, and the whole place feels like a proper escape. I especially loved wandering through the greenhouse and gardens, then spending time around the spa, shop, and library bar, which I’d definitely recommend. The rooms are lovely, and the food and cocktails were delicious. Everything feels thoughtfully put together without being fussy. I wish I could visit more often. For what you get, it also felt like good value, especially next to some places in Santa Fe.

The farm shop was full of beautiful things, and my sons and I found several treasures we had to take home. We came because we’re starting a botanical farm and wanted to see the best one in the state. Access to much of the property is limited to guests, though the grounds we could see were beautifully developed. After we explained our plans to the cashier, he took us to the greenhouse, where the staff kindly answered our questions and shared useful advice about running a place like this. Everyone we met was encouraging and helpful. We’re hoping to return soon and stay at the Inn so we can experience more of the property.

I only had a short day here before a long drive, but the hospitality made a lasting impression. The two women at the shop cafe in the morning went out of their way to help me. I’d met them before, but this visit made them stand out even more. The young woman with dark hair and a cool nose ring at the Spa was just as memorable. She chose her words with real care and made the experience feel wonderful. I toured the facilities since the online photos don’t show much, and honestly they don’t do the place justice. The spa is nicely appointed, with plenty of room to lounge, some luxurious areas, and shaded spots for relaxing outside when the sun is high. That would be especially useful if you’re not staying overnight. I’d love to visit the hacienda spa on a future trip. The hospitality was perfect, and I’ll be thinking about it until then. Looking forward to dinner later.

The food and drinks were fantastic, and the views were beautiful. The NM beef was incredible, and the dessert might be the best thing I’ve tasted in years. The service felt thoughtful throughout the night. At Campo at Los Poblanos, dinner turned into a lovely shared evening. We sat in a circle with people we hadn’t met, and left feeling connected. Everyone who learned it was Mike’s birthday stopped by to wish him well. Then someone we’d met over drinks quietly covered our meal. It was such a kind surprise, and a reminder that people can be wonderful. I’m grateful for the experience and the memory. Albuquerque has been good to us.

The bartender in the Campos bar area later that night was the one bright spot. He was genuinely nice and helpful, and I’ll leave the other issues there for his sake. A few weeks before our visit, my husband and I spoke with Drew about having photos taken on the property. We explained that we’d married in December but hadn’t had pictures that day, and wanted photos in our wedding outfits. We booked a room and bought a photo pass. I followed up with Maddie a few weeks later to confirm it. It took almost two weeks to hear back, and I had to call several times. I again explained that we wanted pictures in our outfits. We didn’t have a formal wedding, and my outfit was a white skirt and beaded white top, not what I’d call a wedding gown. Maddie said that was fine and arranged everything. On March 16, we arrived ready with our photographer. The girl at the front desk, whose name I can’t remember, had already been rude at check-in. She then gave us a hard time, saying wedding photos weren’t allowed unless we’d married at Los Poblanos. We’d spent a lot on the room, pass, and photographer, so we were upset and had to wait for a manager. Drew eventually came, but also gave us trouble, even though we’d discussed the plan with him weeks earlier. We’d told everyone from the start what we’d be wearing, and nobody had said it would be an issue. We lost 20 minutes of our photographer’s time. Los Poblanos tries to seem welcoming, but many of the workers came across as pretentious and unwelcoming once they had our money. It felt greedy, like they wanted every penny they could get. I will NEVER return.
