Residence Inn by Marriott Albuquerque Airport

We were there from Monday afternoon through Friday morning, and it was a great stay. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the restroom was clean. Having a fridge, stove, and utensils stocked made things easy, and controlling the room temperature was simple. My only service gripe is that we had to pick up towels from the front desk each day instead of housekeeping restocking them. No big deal, since I was heading downstairs anyway. The location made it easy to get around town or hop on the freeway. The indoor pool was warm, too. Hope this helps!

I’ve been a travel nurse since 2020 and often stay at Residence Inn, so I’ve got plenty of experience to compare. This weekend, as I settled into my room before starting at University of Mexico on Monday January 26, 2026, a kitchen faucet leak meant the room had to be changed. There were no replacement parts available over the weekend, but ERICK, THOMAS, SAUL, ALEX, BRINTON AND CANDACE went way beyond what I expected to help me move. They felt like personal butlers. In my first 24 hours, everyone has been gracious, professional, and kind. That’s why Residence Inn is my choice, hands down the best chain I’ve stayed with, including Hyatt and Hilton. I won’t even get into the fresh warm cookies, hot breakfast with sausage gravy and biscuits, heated indoor pool and hot tub, or free laundry, though drying costs a dollar and some change. I love these people. If I extend my 13-week contract, I know the stay will be fabulous. I checked, and the sheets, towels, toilet, and shower are clean. No bugs, the carpets were just professionally cleaned, and pets are allowed. You can’t go wrong at this location!

The bed was decent, and we had no complaint about management or the staff we dealt with. But the breakfast was probably the worst I’ve had. Everything was lukewarm: bad waffles, coffee that looked like tea, instant eggs in three forms, and undercooked potatoes. They had oatmeal toppings but no oatmeal, and no milk. Whoever handles breakfast needs to rethink what they’re serving. We only stopped for one night on a longer trip west and were given a handicap room that seemed less cared for than the others. It was kind of clean, but the furniture and silverware had noticeable issues, and the shower was worn out. The exercise room was very unclean, though the weights worked and the bench was a bit sketchy. I’d rate this two stars, maybe a very low three at best. If you’re handicapped, don’t stay here; the rooms aren’t worth it. If you’re coming for the food, just don’t.

The room was comfortable and had the features I’d expect at a Residence Inn. The property seemed reasonably well kept, and the staff were very pleasant. It took a long time for the shower to get any warm water, though, so I learned that the hard way. It’s near the airport, in an area that’s mostly hotels with a few other places to eat. I can see it working for tourists who want a decent place to stay before driving to other attractions.
