The desk guy was pleasant, but the unit next door was loud. The bed was hard, and so were the pillows. Breakfast was waffles, toast, and cereal, nothing like the hot breakfast shown in the pictures.

The hotel has bedbugs. When we asked for a refund, they gave us attitude and told us to call the manager in the morning. The manager won’t answer and has hung up on us. For $130 a night, we got bedbugs, broken bathroom plaster with what looked like a blood smear, chunks missing from the wall paint, and a corner chair splattered with dried “white droplets”.

The rooms weren’t connected, despite several calls and messages where we were assured they would be because we had children. When I asked to switch to the promised connecting rooms, they said none were available. That felt like a lie. Connecting rooms were advertised, and the hotel also advertised a buffet breakfast. Breakfast was actually a very bare continental setup, with subpar coffee, stale toast and muffins, cereal dispensers, and a small waffle maker. It was unclean, and most food was gone by 8:30 am. The breakfast was the only reason I chose these rooms over other hotels, and I want to be clear that this cannot be called a buffet. The rooms also seemed barely prepared for new guests. One had a half used toilet roll, no spare, a broken holder, and an almost empty tissue box. The other had two half used rolls. I firmly believe they reuse used products to save money. There was food left in the second room’s microwave from a previous guest, a disgusting mess. After our first day out, neither room had been cleaned. When I raised it with the front desk, they said I had to request housekeeping every morning because they’d received guest complaints of staff theft.
