The one good thing is the location, just six minutes from the hospital. My daughter had a baby, so I needed a pet-friendly room nearby. The first room was awful, with live bugs running off the bed as soon as I walked in. They moved me to their last available room and said I could switch again in the morning if there were problems. That bathroom had no door, and there were dead bugs on the floor, as shown in the photos. The heat only blew cold air, so the next morning I bought a blanket and space heater at Dollar General. The thin bed blanket wasn’t enough to keep my dog warm. I was so disappointed and would never tell anyone to stay here.

I left two days early after finding a better hotel. Melita at the front desk was helpful and apologetic, and refunded me for those unused nights. Before that, check-in took longer than expected, and the person at the desk seemed unsure what he was doing. My room and towels weren’t clean, and I saw a roach during my only night there. The deadbolt didn’t work, part of the door stopper was missing, and the curtain was too short to keep people walking by from seeing into the room when it was closed.

The rooms aren’t worth what they charge, and the hotel manager, who also does housekeeping, has a nasty, unwelcoming attitude. She tries to invade people’s privacy because she thinks they’re sneaking animals in. Her behavior makes you not want to stay here. Be careful.

I booked a room through Priceline while I was in the lobby, then the front desk person told me he was canceling it without giving a reason. When I asked about a refund, he said he didn’t know and didn’t care. Now I’m out the money because Priceline can’t reach them to confirm the cancellation, since they won’t answer the phone.
