The pool and common spaces looked a bit worn and could use some TLC. The complimentary breakfast area was disorganized, with items scattered around and some machines out of order. Still, the clean, comfortable room and very hospitable front desk staff made this a great value stay. It had plenty of Route 66 charm, with the nostalgic feel of a classic roadside motel adding to the fun of the trip. The friendliness, cleanliness, and price outweighed the drawbacks. A little more upkeep in the shared spaces could make it a 5-star stay.

There was quite a bit of road noise late at night, though the motel can't really control that. The desk agent was very kind, and the price was reasonable. The rooms have been updated. If you're after a Route 66 experience, this is a decent motel.

We stayed in Room 211 before, and the nice woman at the front desk was professional, polite, and understanding. The room was comfortable and really nice, and we had an awesome stay at the Sandia Peak Inn. They treated us like family, and we treated them the same way.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was continental. There was also a small indoor pool. The room was on the small side, but it was clean and had a cheerful feel. A nice room.

Breakfast was a joke. The cereal bins hadn't been cleaned, and they mixed fresh cereal into the old cereal, so it was cross-contaminated. They did have bread for toast, but no muffins or anything like that. The yogurt was good, with several flavors to choose from. The accessible room wasn't accessible for someone using a wheelchair. Grab bars were there, but the towels were out of reach, and the broken shower head was over 6 feet high. Our room constantly smelled of incense. It was awful, burning my eyes, nose, and throat, and my eyes were swollen by morning. I won't stay here again.
