The Clyde Hotel

We got married on February 13, 2026, and were given a night at Clyde Hotel. Chantel made the experience amazing with excellent customer service. Since we’d just married, she upgraded us to the Carrie suite, where we could look out over Albuquerque from the 19th floor. The room was beautiful and so clean. We had a wonderful stay and celebrated our first night as husband and wife in a stunning hotel.

Update after a second stay: our return flight was canceled because of weather, so we suddenly needed four rooms at the same hotel for another night. Ty, the service associate who helped arrange them, was excellent: friendly, professional, and helpful. Someone else told me when I picked up the final key that there was a $25 per-room resort fee for parking and amenities. We don’t have a car, and the charge hadn’t been mentioned when I booked online, so finding out at the last minute was frustrating. That staff member explained it as “just how it is,” which wasn’t great service. Ty wasn’t the one who told me about the fee, and I really appreciated working with him. I wish the hotel had communicated its fees and policies more clearly from the start. On our first stay, the rooms themselves were clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. But the front desk interactions felt awkward. I’d reserved a double, but they first gave us a king instead, and it was hard to understand what was happening while it got sorted out. We did resolve it eventually. Some elevators weren’t working, which made getting around slower. I also asked for about 40 extra minutes of checkout for one room so we’d have somewhere to keep our luggage briefly. They turned that down quickly and said it wasn’t something they offer. We managed, and nobody was rude, but it felt like staff were more ready to say no than help find a solution. The level of care didn’t match what I’d expect from a quality hotel in the heart of a major city.

The rooms were a decent size, and I slept well on the good beds. There was plenty of hot water pressure, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom could use more lighting, though, and mine was freezing when I arrived. I couldn’t get the heat working, so I called downstairs. They brought me a blanket, and the maintenance engineer came up and fixed it. I appreciated that. This is one of Albuquerque’s historical hotels, and I’d definitely stay again. My wedding didn’t go the way I’d planned because my dad was sick, and I needed to make sure he could be there to give me away. I wanted to get ready and feel like it was still my special day, so we booked the Clyde. Best hospitality. They had a card and wine waiting in the room, which made it special. Thank you for recognizing me and my husband and making a bittersweet day even more meaningful.
