Days Inn Alcoa Knoxville Airport

The management didn't seem to care. The bathroom tiles were hanging off the wall, the TV only got Spanish reception, and the furniture was falling apart. There was more exposed foam than fabric on the chair. The sheets looked like they hadn't been washed in well over a week, and the carpet was so filthy I had to wash my shoes afterward. We came because a friend of my family needed surgery for a chemo operation, and the hospital paid for his room. We assumed a hospital wouldn't book such a gruesome place for a cancer patient, so we didn't check reviews first. When we arrived, drunks hassled us in the parking lot, then I saw a swarm of flies and rotting food left in the fridge. I wasn't expecting a five-star hotel, but I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. Expect druggies, bed bugs, roaches, and burns in the mattresses if you stay. Please don't bring your family, children, or loved ones here. There are much nicer hotels nearby for about $30 more. Spend the extra money.

I was near the end of a motorcycle trip and had planned to camp nearby, but it was getting dark and stormy, so I stopped at the budget inn. It seems connected somehow to the days inn. They had no nonsmoking rooms left at budget, so I was assigned a room there instead. The place looked like it had been renovated fairly recently and was pretty clean. Staff were very friendly despite the late hour. Sure, planes take off and land nearby, but the name 'airport highway' gives that away. I've paid more for less.

This place needs to be shut down ASAP. There are used needles everywhere, and the owner didn't care. The manager and his brother, the owner, are extremely rude and can't speak English. If you try to raise an issue, they won't talk or listen and just call the cops. The rooms have mold, and I saw roaches, fleas, bedbugs, rats, and even snakes. There are drug addicts everywhere. You'd get a cleaner, better night's sleep in the woods.

I complained to the front desk about ants, and a drunk handyman came into my room anyway after I asked him not to. He yelled crude, foul language at me while spraying toxic bug spray in the room and on my things. Management was no better when I complained. This did not feel like a safe place for a woman to stay. The place was filthy and full of bugs. Ants weren't the only ones I encountered, either. Bed bug bites on my legs took over a week to heal. Terrible experience. Do not stay here.
