Quality Inn

The people were nice, and breakfast was free until 9:30am. The rooms are dated, though, and there were crumbs on our chair when we arrived. It’ll do in a pinch.

The staff were friendly, the price was reasonable, and a Walmart and some familiar restaurants are close by. I didn’t eat breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. But I wouldn’t stay here again. The online photos need updating, and I’d have paid more if I’d known what the rooms were like. The entrance looks clean and smells good, but the rooms are a different story. The second floor had an almost unbearable cleaning-product smell that seemed like it might be masking something. My room, 208, smelled unclean too, and the carpet looked nasty and slick. The bathroom appeared clean, but the washcloths looked new and smelled awful. I killed two roaches while I was there, though they weren’t cockroaches. I also switched beds because one bed and its pillows smelled like a man. The bed frame made noise whenever I moved, and part of it stuck out past the mattress enough that I hit my leg on it. The chair should go in the dumpster. The latch had been repaired with something white, the hallway light shone into the room through the door cracks, and the phone didn’t work. WiFi stopped working on my last night. I did notice a few rooms with laminate flooring when I left Sunday, so perhaps they’re updating some rooms. I left something on the property and called back right away, but I’ve been given the runaround about getting it returned. There was no elevator for the two floors.

The counter staff and breakfast service were very nice, and after four nights I was glad to head home. This is an older two-story hotel on Hwy 280 with no elevator. The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke, and my room was musty. There were hairs in the tub and on at least one towel, and the shower curtain needs replacing. The beds looked clean but felt a little hard for me. Breakfast had powdered eggs and frozen biscuits, though the sausage gravy was decent. The whole place needs a refresh.

The room was clean, and so were the outside and the entrance. The room and the services were nice.
