Swan Bay Resort Premier RV Park & Marina

The kids could safely bike around, and the views were incredible. We spent Father’s Day weekend at Swan Bay, and it was probably our best camping experience yet, or close to it. We’ve stayed at lots of campgrounds. The staff were so kind, and both the park and stores were spotless. Having a Price Chopper right next door was handy, and the live band at the Tiki Bar gave the weekends a great feel. We’ll definitely be back soon.

We’re already looking forward to bringing our motor home back, along with our fur baby Bronson, who loves Swan Bay too. This was our fourth visit, and it’s hard to believe such a lovely resort on the St. Lawrence River is only an hour from home. There are loads of amenities, and it’s easy to get to the shops and sights in Clayton and downtown A-Bay. Swan Bay is a real asset to the NNY community.

The campground is close to Clayton and Alex. bay, with their quaint shops and places to eat. We also drove north to Messina to see a ship pass through one of the locks, and visited a great museum where knowledgeable staff let us watch a ship being raised or lowered. Back at the site, there was a truck, car, and RV wash, a food truck with lots on the menu, a nearby fuel station, and a nice grocery store right there. The campground store had everything we needed and then some. Grounds crews worked in a smooth sequence with the mower, weed eater, and blower, stayed clear of guests’ equipment, and were courteous. Staff greeted us warmly, the campground was well kept, and the team clearly worked hard to make guests comfortable. Morning trash pickup happened within its scheduled window. The Tiki bar and pool area were clean and cared for. Right on the St. Lawrence River, you can watch the large freighters go by. The owner was on site, making sure things ran smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better camping trip. Swan Bay is truly a class act.

We’ve been coming to Swan Bay to camp since 2016, and our family loves it. We’ve made lots of friends there, and I even reconnected with someone from my high school class. After my husband passed away, we decided to keep the tradition going because that’s what he would have wanted. The atmosphere is so nice, and we enjoy the additions they make every year.
