We arrived late, but our key was waiting. The room was clean and adequate, and the air conditioning worked. The staff were nice. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you have long hair, since the room only had a small tube of 2-in-1, which was fine for short hair. The walls are thin, and we heard the neighbors’ TV all night. The location is great, one block from the river walk and across from the Alex Bay Visitor Center, with pubs and plenty of restaurants nearby. Uncle Sam Boat tours is one block away.

A clean room and a decent bed were all I needed, and this older place delivered. We had a small booking mix-up, but the managers sorted it out for us, and the staff were all really kind and quick to respond. The Ship isn’t fancy, and that’s fine by me. If you want small-town charm, good-natured fun, and gorgeous sunsets, A-bay is a great place to stay. Bar and restaurant options are right nearby. I’d come back.

We only stayed a short time, and this motel worked well for that. The room was clean, though the bed wasn’t comfortable. It’s right in the middle of Alexandria Bay, so it was easy to walk around town.

It was a good deal, and I enjoyed my stay. The Ship Motel is just steps from downtown, with friendly staff and a clean room when we arrived. The bed was comfortable, and I was glad to find fresh towels outside my room in the morning. The shower head was an amusing problem for a tall person, but it’s an older motel, so no big deal. I saw all the staff wearing masks. I’ll be back.

Small place, just a couple of beds, but really that was all we needed. It was clean and the beds were made, and the location is right in the town center, so we could walk anywhere.
