Best Western Alexandria Inn

We found fleas after getting home, and housekeeping hadn't cleaned our room or changed the sheets during our stay. I will never stay at a Best Western again. I was there for work with my boyfriend, but we were put in a “duel” room. Another couple even walked into our room while we were unpacking, thinking we were housekeeping. The walls were paper thin, and a wedding party kept us awake until 3 a.m. with yelling, drinking, and kids running in the hall, though the front desk did absolutely nothing. The smoke detector went off several times while I showered, and the pool and hot tub were “broken.” Staff were just plain rude, except for one man who said we could take anything we needed from the breakfast area any time of day and wished us a nice stay. I was never so happy to leave a place.

The convenient location beside several shopping stores was a plus, and the price was decent. The room seemed clean enough, though dated. But both the pool and hot tub were closed, even though they're listed as amenities, which was a letdown. Paint was peeling from the shower ceiling, and the showerhead clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time.

The rooms are very clean, the breakfast is great for the price, and there's a good discount for Federal and Government employees. The staff are always great here. Definitely one of my two favorite hotels in the Alexandria area.

Scott and the lady who works afternoons were so nice and helpful. They made my stay perfect. Thank you again, Bobbie from Michigan.
