Budget Host Travelers Motel

The staff I eventually managed to talk to were all very sweet, and the room was fairly clean. There were no bed bugs, and the AC worked. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the rooms were comfy with a mini fridge and microwave. I was even surprised by how good the toilet paper was. When our car battery died as we were leaving, the manager lent us jumper cables and the housekeeper used her car to help get ours started. I’d stay again.

The price seemed reasonable and I just needed somewhere to crash, but I should’ve read the reviews first. There wasn’t any toilet paper in the bathroom, and the room smelled. I checked the sheets several times before trying to sleep. Outside, it was hard to rest with people yelling, dogs barking, traffic, and a lot of sketchy characters hanging around. I didn’t feel safe at all. This was an awful dump, and I wouldn’t recommend it. Never again.

We only stayed because we had an event nearby and needed a place to shower after a long day. By morning, there was loud banging outside, and when we tried to check out, no staff member was available. I can’t recommend the property. The cleanliness problems and safety issues made it feel unsuitable and unsafe, and I wish I’d read the reviews first. The first room had stained, dirty sheets, a bed that looked unsanitary, cigarette butts on the floor, and an overwhelming odor. We asked to move, but the second room was only a little better. It had one towel, stained, holed, and clearly unwashed. The sheets again looked barely cleaned. There were black mold spots on the shower curtain, no fire detector, exposed bathroom fan wiring hanging out, and no working phone in the room.
