Red Roof Inn Alexandria, LA

The room my family and I were first given was filthy, with blood on the walls, roaches throughout, a dirty floor, and a bed that smelled like a homeless person had been sleeping in it. The online photos were nothing like the actual rooms. The manager said we got that room because we booked online rather than directly with him. At first he claimed the hotel was full, but twenty minutes later we found an empty room that was 100% better. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this was an extremely bad experience.

The rooms were disgusting, with dirty walls and roaches actually crawling up them. Noise at 3am on a weekday was absurd, and we barely slept. When we asked for it to be dealt with, nobody did anything. Check-in was another mess: we rang the bell three or four times and knocked on the window, but the two front desk reps were in the back office and didn’t come out for 15 minutes. Before leaving, I went to the lobby to report everything. The man raised a finger at me and told me to wait, then walked around with an inscent for three actual minutes. Bffr!!!! Guest satisfaction: ZERO stars.

I booked a room for my husband and it was absolutely disgusting. There was blood and poop on the wall, hair on every surface, pee on the toilet, and flakes on the bed. Outside, three cars had busted windows. When I asked for another room, they told me I’d have to wait until morning. I left and am disputing the charges with Expedia since they can’t or wouldn’t cancel the reservation.

The hotel was very dirty. My room had cockroaches, a broken desk, and a burned bed sheet. There was also a smell of smoke everywhere.
