Scenic Shore Inn

A quiet, relaxing spot for a weekend getaway. The rooms were clean, the price was reasonable, and breakfast was better than most. I’d recommend it.

Stay here during tourist season if you’re heading to Door County. You’re about half an hour from Sturgeon Bay, then can carry on to wherever you’re going without the touristy hassle. Breakfast is included and cooked every morning by the Owners, with eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, bangles, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, and milk. It’s friggin’ nuts! There’s also a nice pool and sauna, plus a great wraparound deck with seating, games, and a grill.

We took a road trip with our young kids and stayed here after exploring Door County. It was a short drive away, close enough to see everything we wanted while getting us out of the overpriced hustle and bustle. The property surprised me in a good way, and the staff were kind and caring. The rooms are a bit older, but comfortable, clean, homey, and have super comfy beds. The hotel and the whole area felt very safe. The owner was a sweet, personable man, and breakfast was way beyond the usual hotel spread. I’d definitely recommend the place and would love to return next time we’re in the area.

We come back every year for our family vacation. The kids love all the things to do here: the grass maze, hammock, outdoor games, indoor pool, and board games in the lobby. The rooms are clean, the service is top notch, the staff are wonderful, and breakfast is delicious. It’s a fun property and well placed for visiting wineries and Door County, since everything is pretty close. You won’t regret staying here!
