The room was great, with a comfortable bed and fluffy pillows, a big TV, lots of seating and outlets, and a spacious bathroom with plenty of towels. Everything looked and felt clean, even before I used Lysol. There was a mini fridge and a coffee/tea maker with a few choices. Breakfast had plenty of cereals, coffee, and fruit, though the restaurant was so-so and my dinner from the hotel wasn’t the best. I ordered wings instead. Sarah was wonderful. She offered an upgrade, then came out to meet me in the parking garage when I arrived after a long drive from the country. It was dark, and I was confused about where to park and how to get in. The valet guys were nice too, gave me directions, and let me use a valet spot one evening when a sporting event had filled the garage, so I didn’t have far to walk after going out. As an out-of-state guest, I really appreciated the help. The walk from the garage to the hotel through an indoor alley is quite long if you don’t use valet, and with lots of luggage it felt a little daunting as a woman travelling alone. The downtown location is noisy, with motorcycles and foreign music blaring from cars. It is what it is.

February 2026 The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, but the hotel itself did not meet my expectations. Dust and mildew were visible in both the restaurant and room, and the facilities seemed outdated. The TV was frustratingly slow to respond. From the 10th floor, I mostly saw rooftops instead of the beautiful mountains around the area. The shower had no tub or way to keep water contained, so it collected on the bathroom floor. I also had concerns about the surrounding area and felt I needed to be cautious. That may explain the $25 valet fee, which seemed more connected to guest security than convenience. I appreciate the staff’s service, but I don’t expect to return. Renaissance Allentown Hotel, please let me know how to proceed with a possible refund.

The rooms were clean and a good size, and the staff were super nice. The Dime Restaurant on site was a pleasant surprise, with both breakfast and dinner, and the service, better than I expected.

We loved having guest rooms on site and convenient spaces for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. The Renaissance Allentown was a great fit for our wedding, with décor that matched our style, fair pricing, and an accommodating team throughout. The wedding coordinator on site was helpful and nice, though looking back, I think an off-site planner might have made all the details easier to manage. The valet team deserves a big shoutout. They went above and beyond the day before and on the wedding day, and their help really made a difference. We loved the experience and highly recommend The Renaissance Allentown as a wedding venue.

The food was great, and they accommodated vegetarian dining well. The hotel is clean and modern, but what really stands out is the phenomenal, friendly staff. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in this area, and I highly recommend this one.
