Super 8 Alma

We were driving to Montana and stopped here for the night. The room was roomier than I expected, and the place was clean. There was plenty of parking, too. The woman at the front desk was really friendly. Cozy and comfortable!

The room service left the floor unswept, and the towels had holes in them. We also had no hot water for two days and weren’t offered a discount. There’s no ice machine or luggage cart for check-in and checkout. Zero stars. Don’t stay here.

The air conditioner sounded like a rocket taking off when it switched on, and I skipped a shower in the morning. The night before, I’d found dried urine on the toilet, dead bugs in the shower, and heavy soap scum and hard water stains. The shampoo and body wash bottles looked like they’d been left by the previous guest. There was no hot water either. When I told the front desk, the woman said she already knew and they were fixing it. The sheet had something hard and crusty stuck to it, and I didn’t want to try the breakfast area when I passed it. All the lights were off where people eat. I’d suggest staying in Holdrege, NE.

We only asked the front desk woman if we could check in early because we wouldn’t be there all day. She called us rude, which wasn’t true, and then gave early check-in to a Caucasian guest without any trouble. I felt she was profiling African-Americans. We hadn’t done anything wrong to her. She was a little young, skinny girl, and a horrible person.
