Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta

The room and the overall property were spotless, and the employee who helped us was apologetic about the key trouble. But we had no hot water in the shower, and the service was poor. I requested mobile entry through the app hours before check-in, but nothing arrived by the time we got there. One person was working at the desk, so I waited behind two guests. She gave us a key and warned that keys had been unreliable. Our room was on the fifth floor, and sure enough, it didn't work. I went back downstairs and waited behind two more people. She then gave us a key for a different room. Before bed, I found that the shower had no hot water. Very aggravating. I couldn't check out through the app either. The next morning no one was at the desk when I went down. Another guest said the employee had stepped away and would return. He came back after a few minutes. I reported the hot water, and he said he'd look into it but didn't apologize.

The hotel layout isn't great. If your room is at the end of a hallway, you might break a sweat getting there. The beds and bedding were nice, and the room was average in size. I didn't have to deal with staff, though they seemed pleasant. I arrived at 10:30 pm expecting quiet, but the bar was packed, so I skipped a drink and went straight to my requested room. When I left at 12:30 am, a few people were still at the bar, while the front desk was dead.

The staff were friendly and professional, which made a real difference. The bed was so comfortable I want one of my own, and the pool area's hot tub was a big bonus. No complaints from us. We'll stay again if we pass through.

The room was clean, and the blackout curtains were great. I had a wonderful stay, thanks in large part to the front desk staff, who were warm and very accommodating. I really appreciated their excellent service.
