Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta

I felt unsafe for the whole night after the employee who checked me in unlocked my room and walked in around 10 PM, without knocking or explaining why. I'd checked in about half an hour earlier, around 9:30. I filed a report with customer service, but the hotel still hadn't contacted me after more than two months. Looking back, I wish I'd left right away. I'm a young woman who was traveling alone, and I won't come back. I don't recommend this property.

The hallways and rooms were so quiet, which we really appreciated. There was some road noise, but we switched the thermostat fan on to give us white noise and fell asleep right away. With all the chaos and confusion around, this place felt like an oasis. We've stayed at plenty of Marriott hotels and this one felt like coming home.

It took two months and more than 15 calls to get back the extra night's charge from November 19. I was told repeatedly that the refund had been processed, but it hadn't been. I contacted front desk agent Safwan and managers Ms. G and Kendra several times. Ms. G said she'd call me back, but I always had to reach out myself. She also said I'd receive 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for the trouble, and those still haven't arrived. The whole thing felt dismissive and frustrating, and a simple billing mistake took far too much effort to fix. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Parking is pretty limited, and my nice room didn't have a microwave. Still, it was a good place to stay. Sam, the night auditor, was especially helpful and great.
