Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta-Alpharetta

We came for a concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. Miller Ale House is right across the street, and our room was clean and ready early. I also like using the Hilton app to get into the room. Homewood never disappoints.

We needed a place for a week because our lease ended and there were 8 days before we could move into the new place. I loved the breakfast, room, and pool, and the stay was going really well until housekeeping tried to enter despite the sign on my door. I hadn’t requested service. Then they called to say my children, who were old enough to be alone, couldn’t be by themselves, even though I was downstairs in the parking lot. They also insisted they had to service the room, although I’d been taking care of it daily. I spoke with the manager and had to tell her to calm down because she was being very aggressive. After we argued, she said I couldn’t extend my room, as if I was going to. Completely disgusting behavior. You may love it here until you have to deal with management.

We enjoyed this beautiful property so much that we extended our stay, and most of the visit was very positive. Still, one encounter at the front desk with Jose was disappointing. I’d stepped out briefly to get something from the car. When I came back, my key no longer worked, and my belongings, including my ID and passport, were locked inside. I told Jose I was pregnant and had only been away for a moment. Luckily, I had a photo of my ID on my phone and offered to show it. He wouldn’t help me get into the room or suggest a solution. Instead, he lectured me about the ID policy and criticized the staff who had checked us in a week earlier. I asked him to walk with me to the room so I could retrieve my ID, but he showed little empathy. I hope this is useful feedback. We truly liked our time here otherwise. A little more sensitivity and flexibility from the desk would improve the guest experience.

We came to the area for our son’s baseball tournament and had a great stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms and breakfast were great, and it was convenient to shops and restaurants. We’d definitely stay again.
