SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta

Shanny at reception was incredibly friendly, helpful, and pleasant, and the manager was professional and lovely to talk with. Our recently renovated room was clean and well equipped. We were there during an unavoidable, super cold wave, and the AC could have put out more heat during that last cold blast. Still, the stay made my birthday celebration the best ever. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions, but away from heavy traffic, so it was quiet. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.

I appreciated how professional and friendly the staff were, and the location is convenient for shopping, dining, and businesses. The bed was fine, and the room had the usual Springhill Suites features, but the remodel left a lot to be desired. The paint job looks amateur, with paint on trim and wall plates, and the shower caulk is poorly done and discolored. There’s no towel bar by the open part of the shower, so water gets on the floor where the towel has to go. The toilet paper holder feels close to coming off the wall, and the shower baskets are loose. The extra small TV can’t be seen from the moved work desk. I need a room that functions better, so I’ll look for another hotel next time I’m in Alpharetta.

Staff behavior felt indifferent, and getting a complimentary bottle of water seemed to depend on the receptionist’s mood. Sometimes you might get one, other times just a curt no. There isn’t a wardrobe in the room, which I wish I’d known in advance. The ironing board was so poor it could pass for a surfboard, and ironing on it was a workout for my back. Management should train staff in basic hospitality. I’d avoid this property.

I came with my sister and cousin for a birthday getaway, and everything was perfect. The front desk woman was welcoming, professional, and had a great sense of humor. There are lots of food and shopping options nearby. I’ll be back.
