It has that European resort feel, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The place is truly ski-in/ski-out, and the staff are fantastic. Breakfast, dinner, and après bites are included, and they’re all great. There’s also a saloon for guests only, so you don’t have to compete with the resort cafeteria and bar crowds. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

We’ve been coming for years and love the atmosphere, friendliness, and overall culture of GMD. The skiing and ski-in/ski-out experience are the best in Utah. It’s a real eat, sleep, and ski trip, a bit like fishing in the Keyes. The history here is amazing. Expecting more from the “Greatest Snow on Earth” would be overreaching, so just enjoy it.

A warm place to put your boots on in the morning, with a friendly, easygoing, hip feel and good people-watching. Alta has a skier culture unlike any other mountain, and this place captures it. It’s clean and homey, too. Just don’t linger too long, since the mountain is the main attraction and never disappoints.

We spent 7 nights here, and it really is a hotel for skiers. The location by the Collin’s lift is perfect, and the staff were kind and helpful. Chef Tom made an excellent breakfast and dinner menu each night, and they were flexible about food allergies. There are washers and dryers in the hotel. Each night, guests get après in the Saloon, a nice touch. The Saloon also serves lunch if you want to skip the huge cafe crowd. Best ski trip!

I sort of stumbled across this hotel in Alta, and what a find. The food’s been really well done so far, with plenty of made-to-order items and incredible homemade muffins 😊. The staff are all so nice, and the location is perfect for genuine ski-in/ski-out access.
