Comfort Inn

The hotel is close to active train tracks. My clean king non-smoking room did need repairs to the shower walls. Breakfast was poor: there was no strawberry juice, just more mango instead, and no eggs or explanation. I left a bracelet in the room, but housekeeping found it when I came back for it.

I’ve been staying there for 15 to 20 years, including visits with my kids while seeing family, and it’s sad to see how much worse things have become. The breakfast was about as bad as it gets, and now you don’t even get a full pillow. There’s also a front-desk sign saying you lose your deposit if police are called or if you use drugs in the room, or something along those lines.

We reserved a two-queen room for my daughter’s birthday weekend, but the beds seemed small. We measured them and they were full size, so one of our guests had to sleep on the floor. Around 10 pm we asked the front desk for extra blankets and were told the linen room was locked, with no access until the next person arrived later that night. The room itself was clean and tidy, but the TV was very old and there was no phone to call the desk. Breakfast was poor, with no meat, wet eggs, and the usual waffle makers. The biggest letdown was that the pool was closed, even though I booked this hotel for the pool. It really spoiled the vacation. For the price, you could just go to a motel. We’re checking out today and will ask for compensation. Don’t come expecting more than a bed and bathroom.

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The room was dingy, with dirty walls and floors. The TV was messed up, the microwave was broken, and the toilet had been jury-rigged. The sink stank and was missing its stopper. The vent fan was gone, leaving a ceiling hole with decades of nasty dust hanging down. Completely unacceptable.
