Mammoth Spring Lodge Motel

There’s a serious mold problem here. I’d booked a particular room online but was given another one, which I could live with. As soon as I walked in, though, the musty smell made it hard to breathe, and I found black mold growing above the showerhead. I politely asked at the front desk for another room. The staff were very helpful and polite, and the next room had no visible mold, but smelled just as bad. My lungs hurt all night and I couldn’t rest properly. After I got home, the smell was strong on my clothes too. This feels like a major health concern for guests and staff. Two nights cost over $200, which wasn’t worth it. I hope they look into this so Mammoth can remain a safe, healthy place to stay. I’ve stayed here every time I’ve visited Mammoth, but I won’t be back.
