Comfort Inn Altoona-Des Moines

Breakfast was a nice surprise, with hot food. The sausage links were delicious, a step above what I've had at most other Comfort Inns. We had a clean, comfortable room with a snuggly coverlet, and the staff were friendly. It's convenient to the casino and restaurants. I took an Uber to the Brass Armadillo while my husband was at an all-day workshop nearby. What a delightful Comfort Inn. Highly recommend it, and we'll definitely stay again.

For the price, this is a very decent hotel, and I'd stay again without hesitation. The facilities feel fresh and welcoming. My room was clean except for a few small dusty spots, like the corners of the picture frames.

I checked in around 7:30 pm on 12.26.25. I don't know the front desk woman's name, but she was SOOOO nice and exceptionally helpful. My room was VERY clean, and the hotel smelled clean too.

Dear sweet Bonnie at the breakfast station was AMAZING and so nice. The front desk staff, both the evening guy and the morning gal, weren't friendly. Our first room smelled like urine as soon as we walked in. We moved, but the bathroom in the next room was disappointing, with hair on the floor, trash still there, and a used bar of soap in the shower. We'd had a great stay at a Comfort Inn in North Platte, NB the night before, so we gave the chain another try. Keep in mind they're independently owned, so quality can vary. This is fine for an overnight stop, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool wasn't open the night we stayed.
