Hampton Inn Suites Altus

I stayed 11 days, and if I'd had another option, I would've gone elsewhere. The place didn't meet Hilton standards, and I'm very disappointed. The blankets and pillows had yellow stains. Bathroom wallpaper was peeling, the caulk by the tub was cracked, and the tub stopper was off. The AC cover was hanging loose. I called the attendant, who said they'd send a technician. When I checked 30-45 minutes later, he said he'd looked for the technician but guessed he was gone. I'll never stay here again.

There was a foul smell, and a cricket fell onto my face while I was asleep. I didn't enjoy the stay and would never go back.

The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the hotel was very nice. The $50 pet fee felt a little steep, though still less than some other places charge. The only uncomfortable thing was the squatty potty.

Tristan is a very nice young man and a great front desk agent. The Middle Eastern gentleman who works the desk during the day, who I think might be the owner or manager, never says anything and just sits on his phone. The carpet was gross, and everything needs updating. I couldn't figure out the faucet because the water stayed hot wherever I set it. The shower sprayed in a circle, leaving the middle dry, so rinsing my hair took forever. The shower looked like it was from the '70s, with cheap caulking and white caulk everywhere. If work sends me here again, I'll definitely stay somewhere else.
