We always enjoy staying here. The rooms are consistently clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a little out of the way from Houston, Galveston, and the surrounding cities, but I'd still choose it over most places closer to the areas I visit.

Roaches showed up after we noticed the fridge wasn't cooling properly. Then the toilet barely flushed at all, and it took them the whole day to fix it. I wish we'd stayed somewhere else.

The staff were nice on the phone and professional at check-in. Our room at the Alvin Motel 6 was clean and pleasant when we entered. I sprayed Febreeze to freshen it up a little and make it feel like home, not because it smelled bad. The non-smoking handicapped room suited my needs, and I really appreciate that. The pool and grounds were clean. After a pool shower, the restroom floor was slippery, but putting a towel down, switching on the exhaust fan, and leaving the door open afterward fixed that. Just be cautious, as you would in any restroom. We'd stay here again and recommend it.
