Best Western Plus Medical Center

After a late night at the emergency room following a car accident, my mom and I needed somewhere to stay, and the hotel took great care of us. They gave us a discount because we’d been to a local ER, and check-in was quick, easy, and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a pullout bed in the couch, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The large bathroom felt luxurious and had a detached hair dryer. Breakfast had far more than the usual cereal and muffins: Texas-shaped waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, muffins, donuts, bagels, cereal, plus coffee, lattes, and juices. Everyone working there was friendly, and the whole place felt clean and welcoming. I’d give it more than five stars if I could.

The indoor pool was warm for the kids, and we could bring our pets too. I also found a Tesla wall charger by the pool. Add a good-tasting breakfast, comfortable rooms, and a clean, modern hotel at a very affordable price, and this was one of the most satisfying overnight stops I’ve had in a while. We’ll definitely stop here again.

The room I booked through the American Airlines app wasn’t the one we got after checking in late with my wife and daughter. The woman at the desk said the code was wrong and she couldn’t fix it. When I asked to book the room I’d originally reserved, she quoted a much higher rate. I showed her that the hotel website listed it $30 cheaper, but she kept saying all the websites were scams and couldn’t help. She brought pillows and a blanket from storage, and we took them upstairs after midnight. American Airlines wasn’t fixing the issue either and just told us to wait. Then a bed bug crawled across the pillow they gave us while my daughter was on the couch. We took everything off the main bed, which we’d all been using, and moved our luggage up out of the way because we were scared of the bugs. Nobody offered an apology, even though we couldn’t sleep. I was very disappointed by the lack of empathy and the cleanliness problem at this Best Western.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, which are the two things I care about most in a hotel. Breakfast was good too. We stayed here on both the Houston to Denver drive and the return, and had a wonderful time. The place was well maintained and comfortable, and it worked out great for our family. We’d gladly stay again.
