Four Points by Sheraton Amarillo Central

I wish we'd had another day here instead of just passing through. It was a perfect stop off I-40, with comfortable beds and a very clean, new-looking room. The staff welcomed me warmly and paid attention to my preferences. I left before breakfast started, but the breakfast area looked spotless.

The bed was probably the most comfortable one I've had in a hotel, and the front desk staff were incredibly kind. Breakfast was easy, and when my refrigerator started making a noise every 20 minutes, someone fixed it quickly. Bring earplugs, though. So much outside noise came through the window that I would've thought it was open. The shower sprayed in every direction, and the wall-mounted soap dispensers were right where you'd stand, making the small shower feel even tighter. I'm also fairly sure the phone buttons for the front desk and food delivery were just for decoration.

A clean, new-feeling hotel in an easy spot off the highway. I felt safe, the room was tidy, and the bed was comfy. The restaurant food was great too. It made a nice halfway stop on our trip, and I'd stay again.

Our booking.com hotel was overbooked, so we were sent here instead. For a highway stop, this place felt first class. The young woman at the front desk was so sweet and helpful, and the room was very clean. We travel quite a bit, but these were easily the most comfortable hotel beds and pillows we've had. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. We'd definitely stay again on our way to Colorado.
