Super 8 by Wyndham Mountain Home

It had everything I needed, and everything was very clean. The room was just the right size for one person, with a really comfortable bed.

The price was decent, and a downstairs room happened to be available for me, so things worked out. The check-in staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. There’s no elevator, so plan ahead if you have health issues, are elderly, or can’t haul luggage upstairs. I’d suggest asking for a handicapped room to make sure you’re downstairs. The breakfast area is tiny, with just two tables right by the front desk. If you want a bigger free breakfast, this may not be the place, but it was fine for me since we went out to eat. I also saw a few shady-looking guests hauling their belongings from their rooms in black trash bags.

The location is ideal, but the place smells like dirty laundry and the floor is sticky. If you can afford somewhere better, I’d suggest staying there.

My one complaint is that the vending machines won’t take debit cards, so bring cash or grab snacks beforehand. Casey's is right next door if you want to stretch your legs, though. I travel for work between Missouri and Arkansas and have tried the higher-end hotels in town. I choose Super 8 because the Patel family are much friendlier. They greet me by name, and the rooms are always spotless and comfortable. Quiet is my main request in a hotel, and the other places I’ve stayed let you hear everything around you, which disrupts your sleep and gets frustrating. Here, I can relax in peace. I haven’t heard neighboring rooms, even when the hotel is full. The beds are very comfortable too. Definitely 10/10, and I’ll keep coming back!
