The owners and staff were kind and attentive, and helped us get what we needed without hesitation. I’d give it five stars if the rooms were a bit more updated. The main problem was people hanging around outside our room who seemed drunk and asked us for drugs. Adding security could help prevent that.

The place looked much older and rougher than the photos suggested. They tried to put me in a smoking room even though I’d asked for nonsmoking. It was bad enough that we left.

We picked a kitchenette well ahead of time so we could cook during the weekend, but it was missing nearly everything: no dishes, cutlery, glasses, coffee maker, or oven. Of the two stovetop burners, only one had a working knob. The mini fridge was unplugged and had mold spots, so we had to buy a lot of supplies at HEB just to make use of the kitchen. Our friends next door were lucky enough to have a full-size fridge that worked, but they said their bathroom ceiling was covered in mold.

The front desk woman, who I assume is the owner, was a big help and let me check in early after I asked at the last minute. The place was extremely clean. Really good stay!
