Holiday Inn Amarillo East by IHG

I was really impressed by the pizza in the restaurant. The crust was great, and I’d try it before ordering from Dominos or Pizza Hut to your room. The room was clean and nice, with a good bathroom, and the front desk agent, Jazz, was super friendly and professional. So was the long-haired woman who waited on me, though I think her name started with an S. It’s a great place for a night and is really close to Interstate 40. I highly recommend it. We stayed here in mid-December 2025 on the way home from a 2,000+ mile trip and really enjoyed it. The front desk staff were the best, and breakfast was wonderful. They have areas for pets and walks, too. We had dinner at the nearby Buc-Cees. Thanks for hosting us on our cross-country trip home!

The hotel was very nice, and our room was spacious and clean. But avoid ROOM 111 if you can. It’s a deluxe king suite on the first floor, and the layout makes it extremely noisy. We could hear the lobby and bar, which thankfully got quieter around 11 or so. Then a group came into the lobby around 3:30, and we could hear them until 4:30. They weren’t being obnoxiously loud, but the room picked up all the noise.

This is a beautiful hotel, and the women working the breakfast food are delightful and awesome. It has a chance to turn things around, but the rest of the staff were short, rude, and unhelpful when we had issues. Room 204 has problems, and previous reviewers have said that room is a struggle too. The pool needs new tile, since the floor tile feels like a liability waiting to happen. Please fix these things.
