The condo was clean, well stocked, and had a lovely ocean view. It came with a washer and dryer, plus a kitchen with utensils, blender, coffee maker, and dishwasher. Finding it can be tricky, so have good GPS once you’re past the main gate. A warning about the elevator: holding its doors open too long can shut down the whole system. There’s a notice posted inside, so take it seriously. My husband uses a wheelchair, and our room was on the top floor. We were heading out to dinner when someone held the doors open too long on the fifth floor, and the elevator system was down for more than two hours. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.

The condo was really nice, and I love how quiet the neighborhood is. There’s security around the clock, and the employees are always so nice. We love this resort!

I visited family who were staying in an AirBnB here over Thanksgiving. The condos are very nice, though they could use some updating. You can see their age, especially inside.

We stayed in Turtle Dunes Villas Suite 1820 on the second floor. It was a big unit with two bedrooms and two full baths, and the view of the ocean from the balcony was stunning. The kitchen had a dishwasher and a large refrigerator, and the beach was beautiful. The condos seem relatively new. One issue was the hot water. It wasn’t set properly and lasted for only one shower. We found the boiler, but its control was locked. This is a better place to stay if you have a car, since the shuttle takes about 5-10 minutes.

Our first visit to Amelia Island was with my wife this year, and it was a really relaxing beach getaway. The villas have fully functional kitchens, so we could have home-cooked meals, and we even spotted sea turtle nests. There’s beach access right from the property, a pool, and use of the resort’s amenities. I’d recommend it!
