Dual Suites & Ocean Views at Sandcastles Villas Pool, 2 Balconies & Golf

Each room seems to have a different owner, so the experience may vary. Based on this stay, Omni shouldn’t put its name on the hotel. The heat and WiFi didn’t work, the bedside lamp was burned out, and the closet doors were off track. I could hear every word from the neighbors, and loud music went on until 1 a.m. I never got maid service because staff didn’t know I was part of a conference, even though I told four different people. There were major stains, rust, and peeling paint, and no deadbolt on the door. Poop on the stairs was never cleaned up during the entire stay.

We’re staying in the Sandcastle villas now, and the place is in such poor shape. A lot is broken, it smells like sewer, and the old beds are hard and squeaky. The pool is freezing, and this feels worse than a two-star stay. The main hotel is also rough, with maintenance underway and many facilities closed. Front desk staff haven’t been very helpful or friendly, and a flimsy beach chair costs $60. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back.

The views are gorgeous, and getting to the beach is easy. There’s also a nice pool, and the building is lovely, with an open-roof interior garden. When it rains, the corridors get wet, but that wasn’t a big problem for us because everything else was impeccable. The apartment faced the sea and was very clean, comfortable, and warm, with everything we needed. The administrators were friendly and attentive, and stayed in touch whenever necessary. There are stairs, so it would be quite difficult for someone using a wheelchair. If you enjoy biking, this is a great spot, with beautiful paths among hundred-year-old oaks.

The ocean view was wonderful, and the beach was only a few steps away. The spacious room had a balcony, living room, full-size fridge, kitchen, oven, and dishwasher. There were two entrances, one opening into the kitchen and the other onto the hallway leading to the bedroom.
