Residence Inn by Marriott Amelia Island

The staff really made our stay. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, helpful, and courteous, and the breakfasts were excellent too. We were also close to the beach, about a pleasant 6-8 minute walk, with several good restaurants nearby at different price points. The rooms were comfortable and lovely, though a few details could use updating. There was rust or staining near the bottom of the dishwasher, its soap dispenser lid wouldn’t stay shut, and the ceilings looked dated. Internet reception was sometimes weak. The beach was beautiful, and I liked the hotel’s hot tub and the firepit outside the lobby on the way to the hot tub and pool. I didn’t use the pool because it wasn’t warm enough for me, although other guests seemed to enjoy it. It may be great closer to summer.

The shuttle drivers deserve a special mention. They were organized, patient, and wonderful, even during Shrimpfest weekend. The staff throughout the hotel were thoughtful and kind, always smiling and in a good mood. Breakfast had plenty of options, and staff kept checking in and replenishing things. We had a clean, spacious two-bedroom suite, and the pool was clean and not crowded. From check-in, when we were offered a mimosa, through departure, when we had a chardonnay, everything felt great. We did lose water for an hour, but the team was working hard to fix it, so it wasn’t a big deal. I’m so glad we picked this spot. Everyone made the stay enjoyable, and I’d want this to be the standard across Marriott properties. Kudos, and thank you all!

Tiffany was the best part of my stay. She was warm, professional, and genuinely caring, going out of her way to make sure everything was right. She answered my questions, offered recommendations, and made me feel comfortable throughout. The property was beautiful, spotless, and clearly well cared for, and the whole arrival and stay felt welcoming and easy. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-tier experience, and I’ll be back. Thanks to Tiffany and the whole team for making it memorable.

We could walk to the beach and to V’s pizza, which was about a ten-minute round trip on foot. The free shuttle was great, and the staff were incredibly nice. The room looked a little older, but the bed was so comfortable, even better than the one at the Ritz, where we moved for the conference. We stayed here one night before changing hotels, and had a great time. Breakfast had a good selection, and the location was fantastic. If we’re back in the area, we’ll stay again.
