Be careful. I left this woman a great Airbnb review because she told me a convincing story about contacting resolutions and was nice to me throughout the rental. I trusted her kindness, but was fooled. I understand bugs aren’t something she caused, and her place was clean and had extras. Bugs happen. She offered a refund for one day and said her regular pest control guy found no bed bugs. I still had doubts, but trusted her. I wasted a whole vacation day waiting for the pest control guy and washed all the bedding. I also had to wash it again days later because she lied about everything. The one-night refund she offered never came. She said she hoped my family and I would stay again, but that was a lie too. Her kindness felt like a show. After we checked out, she wrote a bad review about me and my family, against Airbnb’s policy, and Airbnb deleted it. Even though we cleaned her place well, she never refunded the money. When I got home, I had to wash everything I’d brought. I’m no pest expert, so honestly I don’t know what kind of bugs they were. But after finding one on my pillow, at the top crease of the mattress, I saw at least four or five more. Even if they weren’t actual bed bugs, there were bugs in the bed. Don’t be fooled, a place can be clean and still have bed bugs.

We had a pet-friendly townhouse, just across the street from the beach.

The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve meals, and the decor was cute. The unit was amazing, clean, and well cared for. The water pressure was excellent, and the hot water came on right away. All in all, a great stay.

The Atlantic shore in Florida felt so healing. There were shells to keep along the beach and sandpipers to watch. I hope I can return.
