Anaheim Astoria Inn and Suites

The price was fair, and the gentleman at the front desk took good care of us, even upgrading our room for free. It’s around a 20-minute walk to Disney, which felt reasonable. The room was nice overall, though it felt emptier than places nearby and could use a little more decor.

We arrived on an international flight and the staff helped us get into our room early. They also helped my family when traffic delayed them, and kept our bags after checkout. The rooms were clean and spacious, and Disneyland is walkable. There’s a convenience store and starbucks just a minute down the road. The service and location were great, and we’ll stay here again and tell friends and family about it.

We booked this because the reviews looked good and it seemed clean, affordable, and close to Disneyland. The front desk guy was nice and accommodating at first, but the room was disgusting and run down. There were stains on the seats, dirty sheets, and the bathroom sink was pulling away from the wall. When we checked the sheets after getting a bad feeling, we found bed bugs. We didn’t stay the night, thankfully. The manager said he knew about the problem, and told us the “manager” (I assume the owner?) would check in the morning and let us know about a refund. We did get our money back, but having to find another place in the middle of the night nearly ruined our Disneyland trip. Apparently bed bugs are a big issue at hotels around Disneyland, so be careful. Reviews made the Sheraton seem like the one place without them, so we booked there instead and had a great stay.

You can see the Disney fireworks perfectly on weekends. The hotel is also within walking distance of Disney, the Convention Center, and lots of restaurants. Our room was neat and clean, and the staff were very friendly.
