Candlewood Suites Anaheim - Resort Area by IHG

There are plenty of restaurants close by, and the location works well for both Disney and the Anaheim convention centre. I've stayed at the Candlewood Suites once a year for a few years now. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are great, and the WiFi is strong.

The friendly front desk staff and convenient location have kept me coming back, and overall the hotel is okay. The rooms are a good size, but the bathrooms are small and much of the furniture is worn and run down. The elevator problem happened once: for at least two days, there was only one elevator serving every floor in our wing. Getting to the elevator on the other side meant a long walk while carrying a lot. The rooms could use refurbishment.

We didn't expect it to be so clean and pleasant for just over $100 a night. We've paid more for worse places nearby. The hotel isn't the nicest, but it was very clean and the AC worked well. It took us about 14 minutes to walk to Disneyland, cutting through the parking lot next door. The lobby was nice, and the little store had a good selection of drinks and snacks. The employees were all friendly and happy to help. We liked the hotel and would come back if we found another weekend with a rate as cheap as the one we paid that week.

The staff were really nice and helped with whatever they could. I'm a platinum member, so they upgraded my room. It had a full kitchen and plenty of table space, and they also arranged a late checkout during the week, which helped since we had to work. The rooms look dated and are quite dark. It's convenient for getting to Disneyland, but the WiFi was spotty and couldn't support a Zoom call, so it wasn't great for working.
