What keeps bringing us back is the team. Everyone has been friendly, polite, and accommodating. On my wife’s recent visit with her family, she was first told early check-in wasn’t available, then got word more than three hours before the expected time that the room was ready. Someone had remembered her request when things changed. After checkout on Sunday, they also stored her family’s belongings, which made their nearly three-day Disney trip easier. They arrived Friday afternoon, enjoyed the pool and Downtown Disney, then spent all day Saturday and most of Sunday at the parks. Paying for just two nights of parking worked out well. The location is hard to beat. The hotel is right next to Disney’s Toy Story lot, with a five-minute walk to the free shuttle. We’ve stayed at at least a dozen nearby properties, and after two visits to Homewood Suites, my wife says she doesn’t want to stay anywhere else. Nearby hotel parking fees are common, and being charged by the night helped us on this trip. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the beds are comfortable. Some kitchen appliances looked like they needed maintenance or upgrades, and finding a working nearby ice machine can be hit or miss. The jacuzzi heater also seems to have been an ongoing problem. We’ve found the free breakfast among the best we’ve had: a hearty hot buffet and make-your-own waffles. Calling it continental doesn’t fit, and we’ve never left disappointed. It has saved us a lot of money before heading to the parks. The hotel’s price and location are tough to beat.
The breakfast was a real highlight. It was the best hotel breakfast I can remember having between Chicago, Miami, and the West Coast, and we went back for more the next morning. The kitchen team deserves credit. The pool and hot tub were ideal during the one rainy week, and the staff were relaxed, polite, and well trained. Everything looked clean and organized. The room price felt steep, especially with a separate parking charge. We paid for a room and car spot but looked out onto first-floor metalwork and HVAC units, a pretty rough view for the price. The TV wasn’t smart and didn’t offer much to watch. I also find hotel brands pushing credit cards and loyalty programs silly. A brand that combined useful rewards across popular retailers and services could do more to earn consumer trust and word of mouth.
The room had plenty of space, and the gated lot felt secure. Staff were friendly and even let me keep the car there for the rest of the afternoon after checkout. There’s a roomy dining area, a decent range of breakfast food and drinks, and free coffee and tea all day. It’s a budget hotel, and it feels like one. Still, if you’ll spend most of your time at the park, staying here can save money. The Toy Story lot is next door, so you can catch the free Disney shuttle and bypass park security. Rooms can sleep a family with two queen beds and a sofa bed for the kids. I recommend it.
Our room was clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The lot is only accessible with a room key, which was reassuring. There’s breakfast in the morning, plus a lovely pool and hot tub. Disneyland and several places to eat are within walking distance.
I’d stay here again. The front desk staff were pleasant, the rooms were nice, and breakfast each morning was good, though we found it repetitive. There are plenty of food options close by, with the convention center about a five to ten-minute walk away and Disneyland roughly 15 to 20 minutes on foot. I only wish parking weren’t an extra charge.
