Lemon Tree Hotel & Suites Anaheim

The staff handled our move to a different room right away, without hesitation or questions. Someone flooding the room above us wasn’t their fault. The rooms could use some work, but the area was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep.

I appreciated the front desk concierge changing our room and joking that it had only recently come up from the sea. The hotel itself was awful. We were there for two nights for Disneyland, and the hall outside our first room reeked of mold and mildew. That room seemed to be right in the middle of the water damage. The entry light didn’t work, bulbs were missing from the bedside lights, and the sheets were stained. They moved us across the hall. That room wasn’t musty or moldy, thankfully, but the carpet and tile were incredibly sticky. The AC was broken and the room needed airflow. The sink handle was broken with no temperature control, so the water could burn you. The bed wasn’t comfortable either.

I booked through Airbnb, where the photos were clearly heavily edited. The room smelled awful, the beds were falling apart, and the baseboards were filthy. There weren’t any outlets near the beds, and the air conditioner was loud. The stairs to the second floor were steep. There were no towels at the pool, and the hot tub water was absolutely disgusting. I’d give this place no stars if I could. In my opinion, it doesn’t deserve more than two.

I left a $100 cash deposit and only got $60 back at checkout because I’d gotten some blood on the sheets in a period accident. The guy wanted to keep $70, but I argued and ended up leaving with $60, not the full $100. Accidents happen. That’s why the sheets are white and can be bleached. This is ridiculous, and I’m disgusted with the lemon tree. I’ll never stay here again.
