Parkside Inn Anaheim

We weren't even there for an hour and left the room as we'd found it, but management later claimed we had used it. There were spiders, mold and stains on the sheets, plus a lot of water damage. When we told management, they refused a refund. The man we spoke to was rude, yelled, and called us liars. They gave us the runaround and never responded. The room photos they post are catfish. Terrible place, and the bad reviews are true. Don't stay here, save your money!

The room was beautiful and modern, with the best bathroom I've had in a hotel or motel. It was bright, the shower pressure was outstanding, and the basin faucet was the best ever, like an old-time well pump with water pouring out wide. The bed was great, and while the TV could've been a little bigger, it was a great room overall. The floors were another story. With no carpet, dust and dirt have nowhere to go, so sweeping and mopping after every guest really matter. This place fell badly short. I put my bags on the furniture and saw a cleaner, who seemed shocked when I asked for a broom. She hesitantly handed it over. Five minutes later I brought it back and said I was going to use the mop. Before I could dip it into the fresh mop water bucket, I saw a long brown hair in the clear water, with no soap or cleaner. The woman stopped me and said in SPANGLISH, “Manager dice NO!” I reluctantly said okay, but that I needed the floor mopped, and went back to my room. Fifteen minutes later, she came back with a broom and a wet hand towel wrapped around the bristles. Not a mop, just a broom with a wet towel. She gave the floor a cursory sweep and swipe that took about 10 seconds. I asked for “Disinfectant” in Spanish first, and she said Sí, sí. Afterward, she walked across the still-wet floor with an air freshener and sprayed it. If my mom had been with me, the cleaner would've got a good spanking. She taught me to put fresh hot water and Pine-Sol, a disinfectant, in the bucket, then use a very wet mop in every corner and under the bed. After that, rinse and wring the mop well for the final pass. Then you're done! More than likely I'll come back and stay, and I hope management reads this and makes changes, especially with cleaning. We'll see. With good management, this place is a hidden gem.

It was a good price and not far from Disney, but the rooms were disgusting. The toilets and sinks had stains, and the room wasn't cleaned while we were out, even though we trusted it would be. Then my sister spotted roaches in her closet while moving her things. Management minimized it and gave us the runaround. No refund, no response. Don't stay here!

Someone used my credit card to fraudulently book a room here, even though I'm not in the city and had no trip planned. They wouldn't cancel or refund it, and showed no empathy. Expedia even called and pleaded with them on my behalf, but they still wouldn't release my money. Shady practices. I know where I'm never staying in Anaheim. EDIT after receiving response: Expedia didn't take or hold the funds. My bank statement showed parkside inn, not Expedia. If Expedia held the money, why would they call you to release it? The man I spoke with from parkside acknowledged that park side inn had charged my card. He said they refused to cancel and refund because I was outside the allotted cancellation time, even though I never made the reservation. No matter how you shift the blame, Parkside inn took $140 for a fraudulent hotel stay and refused to return it to the victim. Disgusting.
