The location worked well for Disneyland, with a short drive to the park and plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff were great, let us check in early, and almost everyone was wonderful during our stay. Breakfast was fine, though we were told the meat would change each day and got sausage every day instead. Cleanliness was the real problem. After housekeeping, the supposedly new clean sheets were stained. The man who brought replacements so I could change them wasn’t friendly. There was blood on the shower curtain, the kitchen appliances and tools needed cleaning so we didn’t use them and had to eat out each meal, and the floor wasn’t vacuumed. The floor our room was on smelled awful. We just needed a place to sleep and relax when we weren’t at the park, and the hotel was otherwise fine, but I wouldn’t stay again. I’m usually not this picky, but I used to be a housekeeper and housekeeping manager at a value resort. Dirty sheets and an unclean floor and kitchen are a deal breaker.

A quiet, well-done hotel that doesn’t have that “remodeled” smell. It’s handy for business, with the convention center about a 10-minute ride away and a grocery store reasonably close. I’d take off a star because parking costs extra, internet beyond a trickle costs more, and the TVs absolutely suck. But if you’re not there to watch TV or use the internet, it’s great.

The staff we dealt with were friendly, but the condition of this property was unacceptable and raised serious cleanliness and safety concerns. We’re Travel Pass members and know what Sonesta can offer. The online photos didn’t match reality at all, and we felt completely misled. We won’t be back. We paid over $1,700 for a “renovated” room. There was blood on the blackout curtain, and while the room looked clean on the surface, the sink, floor, and shower weren’t. I had to remove someone else’s hair from the shower before using it. The closet doors were broken, there were no hangers, and a room described as renovated didn’t even have a headboard. The hot water was dangerously hot and burned our hands more than once. The toilet barely worked, and the bathroom handle was coming off. Only some living room furniture was new; the rest of the suite was outdated, damaged, or missing things. The pullout couch had dirty sheets and none of the beds had comforters. We asked for blankets and got rough, dingy ones that looked melted in the dryer. One of my daughters ended up with a burn from one. The kitchen wasn’t equipped for a suite that sleeps eight: no pots or pans, few utensils, dirty dishes, a broken fridge, and no proper trash can. The second bedroom and bathroom were worse, with food on the floor, lumpy beds, broken closet doors, and a bathroom that clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The shower rod was pulling out of the wall, the curtain didn’t fit, and the bathroom flooded every time anyone showered. Breakfast was low quality, with watery eggs, cold potatoes, and coffee that tasted like dirty water. We also saw workers drinking on the job.

I never write reviews, but the paper plates and plastic utensils at breakfast really bothered me. The selection was sad, and the breakfast coffee was bitter. The automatic pancakes were good, but slow, and they need more machines. The room was spacious and the beds were firm. The shuttle was late, so we ended up taking an Uber. Rooms aren’t cleaned daily unless you ask. When I asked at the front desk for coffee for the room, the guy said they were running low and told us to go next door. I only wanted some for the next morning.
