Super 8 by Wyndham Anaheim/Disneyland Drive

Getting to the hotel is easy, right off the freeway, and it’s a good spot for walking to the trams for the theme parks or Downtown Disney while leaving your car behind. The staff were great, the rooms clean with enough space to move around, and the pool and sauna were nice. I wish the towels were newer or thicker, though plenty of hotels seem to have that issue. My one service complaint is the advertised breakfast item: it’s just a couple of store-bought granola bars, which aren’t healthy. In my opinion, they’d be better off not advertising breakfast.

The hotel was well maintained and clean, and the staff were nice. We had no problems during our first stay here. The pool and hot tub were a highlight, and the location worked well for our planned Disneyland and California Adventure visits. I’d happily stay here again.

I liked the granola bars, honestly, so I don’t know what people are complaining about. The staff seemed nice and were pretty good, though I barely spoke with them. The upstairs view over cars passing by was nice, even if it got loud sometimes. The bathroom caught me off guard at first because the shower curtain was like silk cloth. The TV was very TV-like 😛. Outside, it kind of smelled like weed, which bothered me, and the whole place gave me a Twilight Zone feeling. The room also felt a little off because of the parking and the general look of the property, but I was only there for a day, so it wasn’t that bad. And yes, I like granola bars.

The room was comfortable, with good beds, plenty of space, and a decent-sized refrigerator. It was a good stay overall, though it could have been better. I picked this place because breakfast was available, but there wasn’t a real breakfast. At check-in they give you granola bars, plus juice and coffee in the morning. That should be described more clearly. The staff weren’t rude, but they weren’t friendly either, more nonchalant. One employee parked out front, and I think those spaces should be for guests. Everywhere I’ve worked, employees had separate parking. I work in customer service myself, and I’m not suggesting any difference in status. With limited parking, I just think there should be employee spaces. Since I didn’t see anyone else park out front, I assumed there was employee parking somewhere. Please be courteous, everyone has a job to do. For me, this is a three-star hotel, not a four- or five-star one.
