Villa Inn Anaheim

I really recommend this hotel, Villa Inn. The rooms are clean and spacious, management is super nice, and it has a family atmosphere.

I called from the road after driving from San Diego, and a woman told me they had rooms available. But when I reached the front office, the man looked me up and down and said there were none. I had beach clothes and dreadlocks, but I'm a businessman. Then he said it was fine if it was just me, which made no sense. I felt racially profiled and was highly disappointed. I'm not from California or a resident there, and I run a successful business. I won't recommend or stay here again. The last time I stayed here to visit my grandfather, I left a pair of $1,000 Gucci slides. I called only a few hours after checkout, but nobody knew where they were. I also heard there was a shooting here in June, and I'm betting the men involved were Black. If you're Black, this place won't rent to you.

I thought I'd booked through Expedia, but when I arrived they couldn't find my name. I showed the man the two-night rate I thought I'd booked and said I'd pay that amount. He looked bewildered. Another man came from the back and spoke with him in their language for far too long, so I showed the Expedia rate again and asked for a yes or no. They kept talking, so I left. I went to Rodeway Inn about 10 miles away and was delighted with my stay. Villa missed out on almost $200. As Mama said, if someone doesn't want to take your money, give it to somebody else. Ya Mama!

Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. It's a convenient spot for Disneyland or other places around town. You get what you pay for, and I don't regret booking here.
