Daniel turned a frustrating evening into a very positive experience. I had a maintenance problem that meant moving rooms late at night, and I was upset enough to ask for the General Manager's card so I could email him after the trip. Instead, the front desk called Daniel, and he left home and came to the hotel at 8pm to deal with it directly. That kind of dedication was far beyond what I expected. Thank you, Daniel, for taking the time to help. The rest of the hotel was clean and well maintained, in a decent location. Staff were friendly and efficient, and breakfast was stocked with standard Fairfield Inn fare. The small exercise room had two treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, a few dumbbells, and benches. Everything worked, and it was enough for a quick workout. My room was clean too, with the furniture and carpeting in good condition. The Fairfield Inn in midtown Anchorage is a good choice if you want to avoid downtown's bustle.

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed swimming together on the second one. The room was spotless, and its living area had a warm, inviting layout and furniture style that felt right for Anchorage. I've visited other Fairfield locations in the lower 48, and this one had a few differences: the usual personalized TV welcome message wasn't there, though that was no big deal. The bathroom felt stuffy at times, and I didn't see a separate switch for a vent, just the light. Breakfast was solid, about a 9/10, with the kitchen staff keeping everything fresh and stocked. The general manager was especially attentive and friendly, making sure our needs were met. The team made our stay memorable, and we'd consider returning to Anchorage.

The rooms were decent, but I wouldn't stay again because of the staff. The front desk woman was rude and unhelpful, and after I said good morning, the shuttle driver didn't even respond. He watched boxing on his phone the whole ride to the airport.

The rooms were comfortable and the amenities were good, but the staff were rude when I checked out. I wish I knew why. I'm leaving this review in hopes management will pay attention and improve the service.
