Highland Glen Lodge B&B

We had an amazing time, and the place was beautiful. I rented the whole building for two days for my wedding this weekend. The ladies helped set up the venue and made a delicious breakfast each morning, including gluten-free French toast for one of my guests. The showers were all spacious, and there was an eight-person hot tub. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The room was just right, and Gwen and Sheila, the mother-and-daughter hosts, were so personable. Breakfast was healthy and beautifully presented, and we could relax in the hot tub while our laundry ran in the washer and dryer they provided. It felt every bit as good as a five-star hotel, and the whole experience was exquisite. South Side Bistro is another nice bonus, a fabulous, healthy restaurant within five miles. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The owners were so nice, and the furnishings were absolutely exquisite. I don't usually use that word, but being here felt like being in Europe or somewhere wonderful. Highland Glen bed and breakfast sits on a hillside in a beautiful part of Anchorage, with great views. It had been newly refurbished, and everything was clean and comfortable.

Highland Glen Lodge has a lovely Scottish lodge feel, with tartan touches, classic wood furniture, and thoughtful little details. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The hosts were warm and kind, and breakfast was delicious, especially the crepes and yogurt. Just beyond downtown Anchorage, it's quiet, cozy, and gorgeous, a peaceful little retreat off the beaten path. If you want somewhere upscale and distinctive, this is a great choice.
