With a dog, finding a good place to stay in Anchorage can be tricky, but this downtown hotel is my favorite by far. I come to Anchorage often for work and leisure and have stayed at lots of hotels. This one has the best pet rate in town and the nicest pet-friendly rooms. When I've needed towels or pillows, they've responded quickly and politely, unlike some other local hotels that take hours to answer room calls. The outside is very well kept, and there's a big open field right next door that's especially nice for my dog in summer. It's a little farther from the city center, so there are fewer homeless people nearby, which is a big plus, and the atmosphere is very nice. I highly recommend it for people traveling with pets.

Darion was kind and helpful, and found us a room we loved. Miss Ruby was wonderful too and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was delicious. Thanks to everyone at the Residence Inn!

As a Marriott Platinum member, this was one of my best stays. The manager left a handwritten welcome note in my room, and the staff packed breakfast for me to take on my early flight. I was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite too. 10/10, I'd stay here again.

I stay here regularly for work, and the guest services team is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with what I need, and the laundry has worked well for me. There are plenty of useful places nearby, too. It may not be luxury five-star, but the quality feels like good value for this kind of property.

There’s plenty of parking, and the hotel works well for a longer stay. The staff are excellent. Breakfast is good, the afternoon cookies are served warm, and there’s a decent gym and pool.
