We were charged twice after being told by phone that our reservation change from two nights to one had gone through. At check-in, staff gave us unclear answers and didn't fix it. When I raised the other problems, all I got was that they'd note them for their records. Nobody offered to move us or help make things right. The room smelled of cigarettes and mildew, the AC was loud all night and barely cooled the room, and the beds were full-sized instead of queen. There was hair on the towels and in the shower, toilet paper scraps on the floor, mud on the floor after showering, cobwebs, and heavy dust. Rusted shower fixtures were coming loose. We could hear loud talking and slamming doors through the night. The property looked run down, with peeling paint, dog waste on the stairs, and big beetles around. People loitered and chain-smoked near the rooms, and staff were cooking personal meals in the lobby. This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays my family has had. The noise, cleanliness, safety, and billing problems need serious attention.

It was quiet, with only a few other guests around. The room was clean, though I noticed a faint smoke smell when I walked in. My king bed was hard as a brick, but the pillows were comfortable. There were no towels, the toilet rocked like a chair as if it was installed wrong or had a broken flange, and paint was peeling off the bathroom ceiling.

Brandon, the front desk manager, was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and attractive, and the exterior was in good shape with a southern plantation-style look. It made a nice stop on our way farther south, and we'll come back when we're heading north to go home.

The Beaumont by Wyndham in Anderson, SC was a very welcoming place to stay while passing through this beautiful part of the southeastern United States. I highly recommend considering it for a pleasing five-star hotel stay.
