Comfort Inn Anderson South

The location was convenient for New Castle Medical Center, but I won't stay here again even though I may need a hotel in the area. The room was very hot when we arrived and took a while to cool down. It was only okay in terms of cleanliness, and the sheets, comforter, and other bedding were stained and badly worn. The towels were old, scratchy, and worn out too. The shower drain was clogged, leaving us standing in water above our ankles. We left too early to try breakfast. This place needs a major update.

We chose this place specifically so we could swim, so closing the pool and hot tub over a little rain and wind was really disappointing. If it had been pouring, I'd understand, but it was barely storming. We should have been offered a discount since we couldn't use the pool.

The woman at the desk was awesome. If you're driving a truck, call ahead, though there's a good parking spot by the pool, but only enough for one truck. I was out of time on my clock, and Baymont Inn really screwed me over when it came to truck parking.

The power was out for about an hour and a half because of a transformer problem affecting a wide area of Anderson. The office guy kindly walked us to our room and let us in, and he was very considerate about rearranging the rooms.
