Days Inn by Wyndham Anderson IN

I’m asking for a full refund for our stay because we found bed bugs in the bedding and sleeping area of Room 238. My toddler, boyfriend, and I were exposed to bites, and we’re worried about bringing them home, especially with a young child involved. It was upsetting and uncomfortable, and we had to take extra care with our belongings to keep the infestation from spreading. These conditions were dangerous and unacceptable. Please investigate and deal with the problem right away so other guests and families don't go through this too. Let me know how to proceed with the refund, and please respond promptly.

On 4/28/2026, I called and was quoted a rate for the night. The power was out in our town, and with two kids I decided to get a room so we’d be safe. When we arrived just ten minutes later, one man said it would cost $40 more. The other man whispered to him, and then they offered the original rate but added a required $50 deposit. I had to borrow that unexpected extra money from family. I felt they were trying to scam me, and I didn't have the additional money they wanted. They turned us away during a tornado watch, with my children there. The man laughed in my face and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. These people aren't from our country and don't care about the people here. Don't spend your hard-earned money there. This could happen to your family. I visit the area often because a friend comes to town twice a month. He arrives late and only stays a few hours since the place already feels sketchy. He won't be going there anymore, and neither will I at any Days Inn. An hour later, I had a friend call. They quoted that person $20 less than my original phone quote and asked for a $25 deposit. I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

The overnight manager moved me four times because of bed bugs. There was also a moldy fridge, stains all over the mattresses and pillows, and in the last room the toilet didn't work. The hotel was dirty and outdated, with plumbing problems and terrible service. At 8:30 a.m. I spoke with the manager, as the overnight front desk worker had advised. He yelled, blamed me for bringing in the bugs, insisted nothing was wrong with the other rooms, and wouldn't even look at my photo of the moldy fridge. Then he kicked me out of the room I'd paid for, though I had approached him politely to ask for a solution. I wish I could post pictures to show how disgusting the place was and how badly paying guests get treated when they complain. The absolute most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed at.

The bed was clean and decent, but the floor was so slick from some kind of cleaner that my mom could have fallen. It was a pet room, and I think they had cleaned up after an animal. We had to mop the floor ourselves with towels. The toilet wouldn't flush right, and the sink was backed up.
