While traveling for work, I stopped here for a night and was told there'd be a $250 deposit in cash only. I've never run into a cash-only deposit at a major hotel chain. They said I'd get it back after checkout once the room was inspected. With no receipt offered, it seemed like an easy way to hold onto someone's cash. For about the same price, you're better off at the nice Comfort Inn down the road.

The bathroom was the biggest problem. The tub drained so slowly during our shower that we had to shut the water off halfway through, and by morning it wouldn't drain at all. The faucet and shower were in bad shape, like nothing ever gets fixed. Then the room smelled strongly of sewage, enough to make us feel sick. Other reviews mention that smell too, so the sewage system may have been backed up. My husband and I stayed one night on a work trip home. The walls looked dirty, and we weren't sure about the sheets. Breakfast was sparse, and the gravy was cold. We travel a lot for work, and we won't stay here again. I'd strongly suggest avoiding the place.

In room 213, the tub was badly rusted and not somewhere I'd want to bathe. The thermostat was broken, and the A/C controls didn't work either, so I couldn't adjust the cooling. There was a sour odor throughout the property, like mold, mildew, or sewer, starting at the front door. I told the front desk, and she sprayed something to mask it. I appreciated her trying, but it didn't help. Not a pleasant stay.

At 2:52 a.m., someone opened my door. Thankfully I'd set the latch, so they couldn't get it all the way open. They left the door open, and I had to get up and close it myself. When I reported it to the front desk, the woman said the overnight worker probably thought the room was vacant and was looking for somewhere to sleep. I don't believe that, since they can see which rooms are vacant on the computer. The morning employee supposedly told the manager, but the manager never asked me about it. If you care about your safety and belongings, don't stay here.
